Reconciliation and First Communion

First Reconciliation and First Communion is embedded in a foundational year of religious education. Typically, children receive this sacrament in the second grade. Before receiving Reconciliation and First Communion, you need to be baptized. We offer short baptismal instruction for children under the age of 8 years old. For families with children preparing for 1st Communion/Reconciliation or Confirmation:
We will need a brand-new copy of the baptismal certificate (sent from the church where your child was baptized) before the children can receive their sacraments. The baptizing church will send it to us at your request, this can take a while so please notify them asap.
